Job summary

Southcoast Health’s Visiting Nurse Association in Fairhaven, MA seeks an LPN for Medical Surgical services on a per diem, day shift basis. The role includes delivering competent nursing care in patients’ homes within a defined coverage area, and coordinating with the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Requirements include an accredited Practical Nursing diploma, MA licensure, BLS/CPR, and solid computer skills. Experience in home care is preferred and compensation is based on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
• One (1) year of nursing experience is required; home care experience is preferred.
• Current LPN Licensure is required in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and may be required in Rhode Island, subject to geographic area assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) & CPR certification is also required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and the COVID-19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with various software, database and electronic records programs is preferred.

• Promote health maintenance of individuals, families and the community through teaching, counseling, collaborative planning and appropriate preventative and rehabilitative nursing measures.

Hours: Per Diem

Shift: Day shift, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Location: Visiting Nurse Association - Fairhaven, MA; Team 1 coverage area- Rehoboth, somerset, Swansea, Seekonk,Assonet, Raynham,Taunton,Dighton, Berkely and Freetown.
