Job summary

Southcoast Health is looking for a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join our team in Fairhaven, MA. This 32-hour/day shift position focuses on direct patient care, family teaching, and coordination with the care team.

Responsibilities include medication administration, EHR utilization, and adherence to standards of care. Eligible candidates will have an LPN license in MA/RI, BLS, and relevant experience; a $4,000 sign-on bonus is offered for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current LPN licensure in MA and/or RI.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) desirable.
• One year or more experience in a related setting preferred.

Hours: 32 hrs

Shift:Day shift; 8:00am - 4:30pm

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Position reports to the Director, Manager or designee. Perform a variety of duties involving direct patient care, such as medication administration, patient and family teaching, and testing/procedures in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and protocols and within the scope of practical nursing. Utilize an Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other related software to update or access patient information as appropriate. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served. Works cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice.

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing or equivalent is required.
• Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) is highly desirable.
• One year or more experience in related setting preferred.
• Current LPN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
