Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Visiting Nurse Association in Fairhaven, MA. This per diem, day-shift role covers a wide geographic area including Rehoboth, Somerset, Swansea, Seekonk, Tiverton and more, with a focus on home care.

Experience in home health is preferred and a strong commitment to community health is essential. The position requires an accredited LPN program completion, MA licensure (RI geographic area may apply), BLS/CPR, and solid

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
• Current LPN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and may be required in Rhode Island, subject to geographic area assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) & CPR certification is also required.
• Home care experience preferred.

• Under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager or designee, provide competent health care to individuals and families in the clinical setting.
• Promote health maintenance through teaching, counseling, collaborative planning and appropriate preventative and rehabilitative nursing measures.

Hours: Per Diem

Shift: Day shift, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Location: Visiting Nurse Association - Fairhaven, MA; Homecare experience preferred. Team 1 area include: Rehoboth, Somerset, Swansea, Seekonk,Tiverton,Assonet,Raynham, Taunton,Dighton,Berkley, Freetown,

Promote health maintenance of individuals, families and the community through teaching, counseling, collaborative planning and appropriate preventative and rehabilitative nursing measures.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with various software, database and electronic records programs is preferred.
• One (1) year of nursing experience is required; home care experience is preferred.
• Current LPN Licensure is required in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and may be required in Rhode Island, subject to geographic area assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) & CPR certification is also required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $30.68 - USD $46.07 /Hr.
