Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Medical Support Specialist to ensure donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review tests, and support medical operations under physician guidance. You will operate within BioLife guidelines and SOPs to maintain donor safety and program integrity.

The role requires active licensure (EMT/RN/LPN/LVN), CPR/AED certification, and at least two years in a clinical setting, with FDA training completion a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position in Salisbury, MD.

Qualifications

• State licensure/certification required (EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN or RN)
• Current CPR and AED certifications
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and intake requirements
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs
• Review lab test results and notify donors of unsuitable results
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical issues
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and investigations as needed
