Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations in Baltimore. You will determine donor eligibility, review lab test results, and manage donor safety under physician guidance.

Responsibilities include evaluating donor reactions, coordinating emergency care, and supporting vaccination programs while adhering to industry regulations and BioLife policies. Part-time role in a fast-paced clinical setting with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• State licensure as EMT, LPN/LVN or RN required.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and coordinate emergency care.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs.
• Manage employee incidents and reference EHS guidance.
• Potential Pandemic Coordinator role when authorized by EHS.
