Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Towson, MD is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to ensure donor safety and center operations. You determine donor eligibility, review test results, manage adverse events, and coordinate with the Center Physician.

You will maintain regulatory compliance, support vaccination programs, and assist with center transport and emergencies under SOPs, with strong emphasis on customer service and quality.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical exam and tests.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues.
• Support vaccination programs and occupational health processes as applicable.
• Assist with donor transport to emergency care facilities and with EHS guidance.
