HealthPartners is hiring for a LPN/Medical Assistant/EMT working in the Urgent Care department out of our Woodbury Clinic.

Qualifications for the LPN position include:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current LPN licensure in Minnesota.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross; online BLS is not accepted.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proper English grammar and spelling.
• One year of experience as an LPN is preferred.

Qualifications for the Medical Assistant position include:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR EMT program with current EMT license.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross; online BLS is not accepted.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration through AAMA or AMT is preferred.

Responsibilities for the LPN include:

• Identify and address common nursing needs.
• Perform routine procedures and tests in an ambulatory care setting.
• Assist patients with health goals and education.
• Document observations, actions, and outcomes.
• Provide safe, accurate direct patient care.
• Recognize urgent issues and seek assistance.
• Obtain health histories and vital signs.
• Communicate effectively with team members and patients.
• Maintain confidentiality and obtain continuing education.

Responsibilities for the Medical Assistant include:

• Room patients and record vital signs.
• Administer medications and procedures per policy.
• Review charts and provide educational materials.
• Handle patient records confidentially.
• Assist with procedures and prepare exam rooms.
• Prepare charts, lab forms, and medication refills.
• Facilitate communication within the clinic.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain equipment.
• Stock supplies and manage inventory.
