Job summary

Brattleboro Retreat is seeking an experienced LPN to contribute to the multidisciplinary team under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with medication administration, patient care planning, and safety monitoring to support optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include administering medications per policy, observing for side effects, documenting accurately, and educating patients about medications alongside the RN.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current Vermont license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• At least one year of clinical nursing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications correctly within Brattleboro Retreat policies and procedures.
• Observes for side effects of medications and documents.
• Provides nursing care to meet patients' needs under RN supervision.
• Maintains safety and therapeutic milieu per policy and procedure.
• Communicates effectively in SBAR format with the multidisciplinary team.
• Performs patient safety checks and environmental checks as assigned.
