Job summary

Blue Ridge Medical Center in Arrington, VA is seeking an LPN to provide direct nursing care and clinical support to the provider within a busy primary care clinic.

The LPN will document care in the EMR, assist with pre/post procedures, labs, triage, and patient education, while supporting routine office duties and adherence to BRMC’s mission and values. Location: Arrington - Main Campus; shift days; full-time role.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nursing with current LPN licensure in VA and active CPR certification.
• 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience as an LPN or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct routine nursing care to patients and clinical assistance to provider per instructions; documents care in EMR.
• Performs pre- and post-procedural nursing care including administration of medications and lab tests.
• Collects, labels and prepares specimens; identifies patients with two identifiers (name and DOB).
• Provides patient education and communicates lab/x-ray/test results to patients.
