Gardens of Somerset in Monroe, LA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for part‑time and full‑time roles. You will deliver compassionate nursing care in a warm, resident‑centered setting, administer medications, document care, monitor conditions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and quality.

The role requires an active LPN license, a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of nursing experience, and CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of nursing experience required.
• Assisted living or long-term care experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document resident care and maintain medical records.
• Monitor resident conditions and report changes promptly.
• Respond effectively during medical emergencies.
• Supervise nursing assistants and support quality resident care.
• Assist with resident assessments and care planning.
• Perform routine nursing procedures including vital signs and specimen collection.
• Support residents with daily activities and participation in community programs.
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, and healthcare providers.
• Follow infection control, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Promote resident dignity, independence and rights at all times.
