Job summary

Providence Jobs in Spokane is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to participate in direct nursing care and coordinate with physicians, RNs, transportation and home care teams within Providence PACE.

You will perform vital signs, wound care, medication administration, patient education and support elderly participants in living independently, while joining a compassionate team dedicated to our mission of caring for the community.

Qualifications

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Upon hire: Washington Licensed Practical Nurse
• Upon hire: CPR and First Aid Certification (American Heart Association)
• 1 year Long term care or related geriatric experience.
• Experience working with the frail and elderly.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and coordinate with physician, RN, transport, and home care.
• Assist with vital signs, wound care, treatments and patient teaching.
• Administer medications, venipuncture, catheter care, foot care and setup for physician visits.

Job Description

The LPN / LVN participates, coordinates and provides direct nursing care in a manner which ensures participant's satisfaction and retention. Coordinating with the physician, RN, transportation and home care. Assists physicians and nursing staff with a variety of tasks, including but not limited to vital signs, wound care, medication administration/management, treatments, patient teaching, venipuncture, catheter care foot care, and participant set up for physician visit.
