Job summary

Providence Health & Services in Spokane invites a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join Providence PACE Spokane. You will implement treatment plans under a Physical Therapist, focusing on geriatric participants to restore mobility, reduce pain, and promote healing in home and clinic settings.

This full-time, day-shift role requires graduation from a PTA program, WA PTA license, and BLS within 30 days of hire; prior PT experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• WA Physical Therapy Assistant License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides treatment of neurological, orthopedic, and muscular disorders per treatment plan to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Provides home care coordination as part of patient care.
• Supports geriatric participants to live independently and safely.

Provides treatment of neurological, orthopedic, and muscular disorders in accordance with treatment plan established by Physical Therapist to provide efficient, effective physical therapy to referred geriatric participants. Utilizes artificial aids such as prosthetic devices, therapeutic exercise techniques, emotional support and educational training to restore mobility and function to participants, reduce pain, and promote healing. Provides home care coordination.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapist Association
• Upon hire: Washington Physical Therapy Assistant License
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year experience in the area of physical therapy
