Job summary

Providence PACE Spokane is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver prescribed therapy to geriatric participants under a Physical Therapist plan. The role emphasizes neurological, orthopedic, and muscular care, using exercises, assistive devices, education and emotional support to improve mobility and reduce pain.

Workdays are Monday–Friday, day shift, with home care coordination and collaboration with the Providence care team.

Qualifications

• Licensed PTA with WA license required.
• Graduate of PTA program approved by APTA.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year experience in physical therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment of neurological, orthopedic, and muscular disorders per PT plan to geriatric participants.
• Utilize therapeutic exercise techniques, prosthetic devices, emotional support and education to restore mobility and reduce pain.
• Provide home care coordination as part of the care program.

Education

Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapist Association

Schedule

Provides treatment of neurological, orthopedic, and muscular disorders in accordance with treatment plan established by Physical Therapist to provide efficient, effective physical therapy to referred geriatric participants. Utilizes artificial aids such as prosthetic devices, therapeutic exercise techniques, emotional support and educational training to restore mobility and function to participants, reduce pain, and promote healing. Provides home care coordination.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapist Association
• Upon hire: Washington Physical Therapy Assistant License
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year experience in the area of physical therapy
