Job summary

Sweetwater Care seeks an experienced LPN Nursing Manager to oversee clinical operations and ensure quality patient care in accordance with policies and regulations.

You will supervise nursing staff, coordinate patient testing and treatments, and collaborate with physicians to implement care plans while maintaining compliance and documentation accuracy in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN in good standing in the state.
• Minimum one year nursing management experience preferred.
• Must have long-term care experience.
• Experience with PointClickCare electronic charting system.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.
• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Infection Control Manual.
• Participates in and assists with the Quality Improvement Program.
• Uses the Quality Life Manual for patient identification, placement and monitoring.
• Notifies other departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge).
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Receives, transcribes, and carries out physician orders when allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LPN in state
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred
• Must have long term care experience.
• Must have electronical charting system experience with POINT CLICK CARE.
