Description:The role involves providing direct patient care in a critical access environment.The unit specializes in a variety of diagnoses, including dementia, diabetes, and post-acute rehab.Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:8, and team nursing is utilized for patient care.RNs are required to titrate drips and manage medications including electrolytes and IV antibiotics.Charge nurses take team assignments, and nurse aides or patient care techs support every shift.Experience with patient management equipment, including CPAP, is expected.Floating between emergency and MedSurg units may be required.Self-scheduling is possible upon request, with block scheduling available.Weekend and holiday shifts are mandated as per the schedule.No on-call or standby requirements are in place.Cancellation policy includes four shifts per contract.All charting is performed using EPIC.
