Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for a long-term care setting. You will deliver nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or physician, administer medications and treatments, monitor resident status, and supervise the work of Certified Nursing Assistants.

Accurate documentation and communication with the care team are essential. Requires LPN/LVN licensure and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
• LPN/LVN licensure required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policy.
• Perform resident assessments and monitor for changes in physical, cognitive or behavioral status.
• Supervise and delegate appropriately to Certified Nursing Assistants on the assigned unit.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in the resident record and medication administration record.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to the Registered Nurse, physician and family as appropriate.
• Follow infection control, safety and regulatory requirements governing long-term care practice.

Education

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
