Job summary

Talented-Medical-Solutions is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide care for residents in a long-term care setting under the supervision of an RN or physician. You will administer medications, perform assessments, and supervise CNAs while maintaining accurate clinical documentation.

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program with LPN licensure in the state of practice and BLS certification. Long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program is required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility policy.
• Perform resident assessments and monitor for changes in physical, cognitive or behavioral status.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Certified Nursing Assistants on the assigned unit.
• Complete accurate documentation in the resident record and medication administration record.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to the RN, physician and family as appropriate.
• Follow infection control, safety and regulatory requirements governing long-term care practice.
