Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a PRN Days Licensed Practical Nurse to support patients at home. The role involves validating care plans with RNs, coordinating with physicians, teaching self-care, and monitoring vitals in a home setting.

Responsibilities include medication reconciliation, aseptic prep for treatments, and timely charting. Eligible candidates hold an LPN license, CPR, and a valid driver's license. Compensation reflects market pay for home health LPNs in the U.S.

Qualifications

• One year of LPN clinical experience.
• Current LPN license for the assigned state(s).
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN to ensure patient needs are met and notify changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and perform reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform physician-ordered procedures (e.g., Foley catheter changes).
• Prepare equipment and materials using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
