Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) for PRN days in Greenville, SC. You will verify plans of care with the RN, perform medication reconciliation, monitor vitals, and support patients in their homes.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of LPN experience, an active LPN license, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN to ensure patient needs are met; notify changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs during visits.
• Review medications and perform medication reconciliation.
• Perform physician-ordered procedures (e.g., Foley catheter changes).
• Prepare equipment and materials using aseptic technique, and complete timely documentation.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.
