Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our home health team in Myrtle Beach, SC. This full-time daytime role focuses on visiting patients at home and providing compassionate care.

You will verify plans of care with RNs, collaborate with physicians, educate patients and caregivers, monitor vital signs, reconcile medications, and prepare treatments. Candidates should have one year of LPN experience and an active LPN license in the state, CPR certification, and valid driver's

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current LPN license in the assigned state.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN to address patient needs.
• Educate patients and caregivers on self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs at visits.
• Review medications and perform reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform procedures ordered by physician (e.g. Foley catheter changes).
• Prepare equipment for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
