Job summary

Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed in Maryland to join our on-site care team. Positions available include full-time evening shifts and part-time options across all shifts, with a $12,000 retention bonus for full-time hires.

You will supervise CNAs, provide individualized nursing care, administer medications, and document residents’ progress, contributing to compassionate, high-quality care for our residents.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license to practice in Maryland.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and direct the work of CNAs.
• Provide individualized nursing care according to each resident’s plan of care.
• Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Explain procedures and treatments to gain patients’ cooperation.
• Observe vital signs to detect deviations from normal.
• Maintain patients’ medical records on nursing observations and actions.
• Record nursing needs of patients on care plans to ensure continuity of care.
• Observe emotional stability and prepare patients for continuing care after discharge.
• Perform other duties to provide exceptional care.

What you'll do

• Observe vital signs to detect deviations from normal and gage progress of the patient.

• Maintains patients’ medical record on nursing observation and action taken, such as medications and treatments given, reactions, tests, intake, emission of liquids and solids, and vital signs.

• Records nursing needs of patient on care plan to assure continuity of care.

• Observes emotional stability of patients, expresses interest in their progress, and prepares them for continuing care after discharge.

• Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident.
