Job summary

The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Queens is actively seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our skilled nursing facility team. We value a passion for geriatric care and the ability to evaluate and treat independently, with a focus on meaningful therapeutic activities for residents.

Multiple shifts are available (7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm). Competitive hourly rate up to $34.48, with benefits after 90 days and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse license (NY) is required.
• Geriatric care experience is a plus.
• Ability to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, including IVs.
• Take and record vital signs.
• Educate residents and families about care plans.
• Supervise CNAs and coordinate with physicians and NPs.
• Communicate with families and other health professionals.
• Provide resident care and treatments with monitoring of outcomes.

Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of NY, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience. Rate: Up to $34.48 an hour

• Provide care for residents of our Skilled Unit (SNF) and Long Term Care Unit. Duties Include;
• Medication Administration, including IVs.
• Taking and recording vital signs.
• Providing resident and treatments with monitoring of outcome.
• Provide resident and family education.
• Communication with physicians, NPs, families and other health care professionals.
• Supervising CNAs
