Job summary

Ro Health is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at a correctional facility in Lovington, NM. This contract position requires at least 3 days per week with 12-hour shifts; weekend availability is highly preferred. Travel pay incentives exist for distances 50+ miles from the facility.

Active NM LPN license, BLS from AHA, and ability to pass a background check are required. You will administer meds, monitor vitals, assist with wound care, and collaborate with RNs

Qualifications

• Active New Mexico LPN license (in good standing)
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
• Ability to pass a strict background check

Responsibilities

• Administer medications (oral, topical, IM) as prescribed
• Monitor and record vital signs; report abnormalities
• Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and basic treatments
• Support mobility, hygiene, and ADLs as needed
• Conduct health screenings and collect medical history
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid/CPR as required
• Maintain infection control and a clean, safe environment
• Coordinate patient care with RNs, physicians, and mental health providers
• Document care activities accurately in medical records

Ro Health is looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at a correctional facility in Lovington, NM!

This position plays a vital role in providing essential healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and therapeutic environment within the facility.

Details:

• Location: Lovington, NM
• Schedule: at least 3 days/week, 12-hour shifts
• Weekend availability is highly preferred
• Employment Type: Contract
• Pay: higher pay for travelers who are 50 or more miles away from the facility!

Qualifications:

• Active New Mexico Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (in good standing)

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, including oral, topical, and intramuscular injections, as prescribed
• Monitor and record patient vital signs, reporting any abnormalities to RNs or medical providers
• Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and basic medical treatments
• Support patient mobility, hygiene, and activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
• Conduct health screenings and collect patient medical history
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or CPR as necessary
• Ensure proper infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and mental health providers to coordinate patient care
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in medical records
