Job summary

Ro Health, LLC is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at a correctional facility in Roswell, NM. The role focuses on delivering essential nursing care to incarcerated individuals in a safe, hygienic environment.

Details include location in Roswell, NM, a schedule of at least 3 days per week with 12-hour shifts, and weekend availability is highly preferred. This is a contract position with higher pay for travelers residing 50+ miles away.

Qualifications

• Active New Mexico LPN license in good standing.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, including oral, topical, and intramuscular injections.
• Monitor and record patient vitals, reporting abnormalities to RNs or medical providers.
• Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and basic medical treatments.
• Support patient mobility, hygiene, and ADLs as needed.
• Conduct health screenings and collect medical history.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or CPR as necessary.
• Ensure infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and mental health providers to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient care activities accurately in medical records.

This position plays a vital role in providing essential healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and therapeutic environment within the facility.

Details:

• Location: Roswell, NM
• Schedule: at least 3 days/week, 12-hour shifts

• Pay: higher pay for travelers who are 50 or more miles away from the facility!
