Job summary

Fairmont of Westlake is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise certified nursing assistants in accordance with state standards.

As part of our Montessori-Inspired Living community, you will maintain dignity and respect for residents, follow the Lifestyle Pledge, ensure safety, and support quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing and licensed by the State or in training to complete requirements to become an LPN.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must read and write in legible and understandable manner.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Previous nursing experience desirable.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures and laws.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
• Ensure highest quality care in accordance with federal, state and local standards.
• Follow directions from RN, Director of Nursing Services and Administration.

General Purpose

To provide direct nursing care to the residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of Certified Nursing Assistants in accordance with federal, state and local standards governing the facility, and as may be directed by the RN, Director of Nursing Services and Administration, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is always maintained.

Qualifications

• Must show ability to read and write in a legible and understandable manner
