Armor Health in St. Augustine seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at St. John's County jail for a full-time day shift (6a-6p).

You will provide holistic nursing care in a correctional setting, support physicians and RNs, take patient histories, perform routine procedures, and document care in the EMR. The role emphasizes accuracy and compassionate care. Requirements include an active Florida LPN license, CPR, EMR proficiency, and the ability to pass Level 2 background checks.

Qualifications

• Current/Active LPN license in Florida
• CPR certification required
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR)
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assist health care providers, RNs, and allied health professionals with examinations, treatments, tests, and procedures.
• Obtain patient health history, collect specimens, monitor vital signs, administer TB skin tests.
• Conduct lab tests and ensure results reach the responsible physician or RN.
• Ensure patients receive appropriate care for injuries or conditions.
• Review patient charts and report any symptoms, reactions, or changes in condition.
• Coordinate transfers to medical facilities, administer medications, and document contacts in the POMR format

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assist health care providers, registered nurses, and allied health professionals with examinations, treatments, special tests, and routine procedures.
• Obtain patient health history, laboratory specimens, vital signs and administers TB skin tests.
• Conduct lab tests and ensures the results are delivered to the correct physician or registered nurse.
• Ensure patient is receiving proper care for injury or condition.
• Review patient chart; records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient's conditions.
• Coordinate patient transfers to medical facilities or outside health care providers; administer medications; implement healthcare practitioners' orders; and document all patient contacts using the POMR format.

Qualifications

• Current/Active state license as an LPN

• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include a background check and drug screen
