Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations in Baltimore, MD. You determine donor eligibility, manage donor events, review test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results under medical guidance.

Must have EMT/RN/LPN license and CPR/AED, with 2 years clinical experience. Role reports to Center Manager, works part-time, includes vaccination program support and EHS alignment.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in the state of responsibilities (EMT or nursing).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Completion of FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including consent, medical history, and physical exam.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unresolved issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance; assist investigations.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
