Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a licensed practical nurse to provide compassionate nursing care in a senior living community. You will coordinate medical, social, and daily living activities, implement the medication plan, and document changes promptly.

You’ll work with a skilled team to monitor resident well-being, respond to emergencies, assist with meals, and participate in activities and community events.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license to practice nursing in the state where the community is located.
• Experience working with the senior population, preferably in assisted living or LTC.
• Must be a team player who works well with others and has experience supervising staff.
• Must possess critical thinking skills, ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently with strong organizational skills.
• Must be in good physical condition and be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be willing to work an 8-16 hour flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
• Must attend all required trainings, CEU’s and staff meetings.
• Must be certified or willing to take and pass the certification classes required by the state in which employed

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care and services to residents.
• Coordinate physical, social, and emotional aspects of assisted living care.
• Execute the medication management plan and document updates.
• Conduct continuous assessment of resident needs and update appropriate individuals.
• Ensure resident wellness and safety and document measures.
• Work in a team to meet resident needs and respond to emergencies calmly.
• Report incidents and changes in resident condition to Healthcare Director.
• Participate in activities including community events and assist with meals.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with staff documentation.
• Establish positive working relationships with all departments and mentor CNAs/RMAs.
• Identify risk factors and initiate interventions with proper documentation.
• Provide thorough shift-change reports and daily log updates.
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings
