Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide patient-centered care under the supervision of a registered nurse in the Florence area. The role involves data collection, care planning, and evaluating outcomes within a defined patient population.

Responsibilities include assisting with examinations, preparing rooms, documenting care, and handling telephone triage while maintaining compliance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• Licensed as an LPN in South Carolina or a compact state.
• One year of LPN experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient/family centered care under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Assists with data collection, planning and evaluation of patient care.
• Documentation of patient health status and care provided in the medical record.
• Perform telephone and in-person screenings and triage as directed.
• Prepares examination rooms, stocks supplies and ensures clean environments.

Education

LPN license (SC or compact)
