Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide patient/family centered care under RN supervision in the Columbia area. You will assist with data collection, care planning, and evaluations, and document vital signs in the medical record.

The role includes interviewing patients, screening, coordinating with providers, and supporting procedures while maintaining exam rooms and supplies. Current SC LPN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized LPN program and licensed as an LPN in SC or a compact state.
• BLS certification required from AHA or ARC, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient/family centered care under RN direction and within scope of practice.
• Assist with data collection, care planning, and evaluation of outcomes.
• Interview/screen patients, document in medical records, and record vital signs.
• Perform telephone and in-person screenings and manage medication-related inquiries with provider input.
• Prepare, examine, and assist with procedures; maintain exam rooms and supply areas.
