Good Samaritan – Bethany in Brainerd, Minnesota seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide compassionate care in a 79-bed long-term facility. You will administer medications, monitor residents, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to maintain safety and quality of life.

The role features evening/night shifts, rotating weekends, shift incentives, and a generous benefits package. A Minnesota LPN license is required, with opportunities for education assistance and advancement.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the following is required in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
• Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility.
• Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
• Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
• Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision of a RN, APRN, or physician.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered and document outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate clearly with residents, families, and the care team.
