Job summary

Respiratory and Rehab of RI in Coventry, RI is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our nursing team. You will provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse license with RI credentials.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents: feeding, bathing, dressing, ambulation; supervise meals.
• Schedule and coordinate doctor appointments for residents as needed outside the facility.
• Meet with family members regarding resident concerns and care plans.
• Document all care in the resident's medical record.
• Direct day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and lead by example.
• Provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to your unit/shift.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Maintain good working relationships with inter-departmental staff and other departments.
• Monitor and supervise staff to ensure safety regulations are followed.
