Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Basic understanding of psychiatric nursing theory and practice.
• Demonstrated clinical competency in providing general nursing care.
• Current LPN Licensure in the State of Michigan Required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care according to nursing care plans and the patient’s treatment plan.
• Administers medications and treatments to patients; monitors effectiveness and educates on medications.
• Collaborates with RN on admissions and discharges.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic milieu and supports crisis management as needed.
