HAN Staff is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Tucker, Arkansas. The position offers local pay of $37.50 per hour (W2) with travel pay options including hourly wages, lodging stipend, and meal/reimbursement allowances, leading to total compensation around $1,453.72 for travel scenarios.

The LPN will provide direct patient care, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document in the EMR within a correctional healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Current, valid AR license as LPN in good standing.
• Minimum 1+ year recent LPN experience within last 3 years.
• PSV from licensing board if required.
• Current certifications (e.g., BLS) and compliance docs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN or physician supervision.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and record patients' vital signs; report changes.
• Assist with patient assessments and care plans.
• Perform wound care and specimen collection.
• Document care accurately in the EMR.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, therapeutic environment.
• Follow infection control protocols and regulatory standards.

Travel Rate (based on 36 hours): Hourly $18.02, Stipend (Lodging $539.00 + M&I $266.00) = $805.00,

Shift Details:

• Night shift

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.


• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.


• Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and report changes in condition.


• Assist with patient assessments and implement individualized care plans.


• Perform wound care, specimen collection, and other basic nursing procedures.


• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).


• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and treatment plans.


• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.


• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients.


• Follow facility policies, infection control protocols, and regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted AR license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.


• Minimum of 1+ year within the last 3 years of recent experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse


• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.


• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,)
