NaphCare, Inc. is hiring LPNs to join our medical team at the Bibb Correctional Facility in Brent, AL. You will provide nursing care to residents in a controlled correctional environment alongside correctional officers and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Active state LVN/LPN license.
• Ability to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred).
• Ability to interact with diverse patient populations including mental health or substance abuse issues.
• Pass facility background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and review health problems and medication history.
• Take vital signs: BP, temperature, weight.
• Provide wound care and bandaging.
• Administer medications, including injections, and monitor reactions.
• Maintain medical records in the electronic health record TechCare.
• Monitor patient and mental health status.
• Provide emergency first aid.
• Educate patients and plan discharge/release.
