Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Old Colony Correctional Center in Bridgewater, MA. The LPN provides patient-focused care within the state nursing act and supports medical staff with routine duties in a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• Active LPN license in the state of employment.
• Active CPR certification.
• Knowledge of state practice acts and regulations.
• Completes initial and annual clinical competencies as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within LPN scope as delegated.
• Monitor patients and report changes to medical staff.
• Administer medications to offenders.
• Care for wounds with cleaning and dressing.
• Document actions in MAR and records.
• Contribute to teaching plans for health promotion and restoration.
• Cares for multiple patients as directed.
• Perform other nursing duties as assigned.
