Job summary

Midwest Health in Owasso, OK is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents in a regulated healthcare community. You will follow federal, state, and local guidelines and report to the Nurse Supervisor as required.

The role includes assisting with admissions/discharges, daily hygiene, and ongoing clinical tasks while maintaining confidentiality and a compassionate approach to residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must have basic computer skills and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must possess a valid LPN license in good standing with the State.
• Ability to work beyond normal hours and on weekends/holidays when necessary.
• Must be able to evacuate residents during emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and family information at all times.
• Assist in admission, discharge, and daily hygiene care for residents.
• Document changes in residents' condition and report to the Charge Nurse as needed.
• Assist with transportation of residents to appointments and activities.
• Perform routine nursing duties such as catheterization, dressings, and taking vital signs.
