• Gives direct nursing care to assigned patients, including medications and treatments.
• Documents pertinent information regarding patient’s responses.
• Communicates effectively with the health care team regarding patient needs.
• Participates in patient teaching and nursing research activities.

Skills

Clinical nursing skills appropriate for an LPN

Good oral and written communication skills

Successful completion of Progressive Care Orientation Program

Education

Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing

Current NJ Licensed Practical Nurse license

Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification

IV Certification
