Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse in Behavioral Health Services to provide direct patient care in a compassionate, patient‑centered environment.

Qualifications

• Current NJ license as an LPN.
• Progressive Care Orientation completion required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
• IV certification preferred.
• Clinical nursing skills for LPNs.

• English speaking/writing as required by role.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per established standards.
• Document patient data and nursing interventions in medical records.
• Administer medications according to hospital policy and monitor labs and vitals.
• Assess patient condition and escalate to RN as needed.
• Maintain infection control and safety procedures.
• Communicate with the health care team about patient needs and changes.
• Participate in unit CQI activities and staff development.
