Job summary

Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide patient care in a hospital setting in North Carolina. You will work under the supervision of a NP/RN, perform routine nursing duties, and ensure compliance with CMS and facility policies.

The role requires an active NC LPN license (or compact-state license with NC licensure within 30 days), current CPR, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of an accredited LPN program and an active North Carolina LPN license OR compact-state license with NC license within 30 days of hire.
• Current CPR certification.
• Six months in the position to reach proficiency in essential duties.

Responsibilities

• Serves as clinical assistant to NP/RN and screens residents' charts.
• Obtains medical histories from residents or families.
• Takes vital signs and reports abnormal findings to NP or RN.
• Administers medications and vaccines as ordered.
• Maintains medical supply inventory and notifies supervisor when stock is low.
• Orders medications as needed and follows up with Pharmacy.
• Maintains and documents care per policies and procedures.
