Job summary

Cone Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support the hospital care team across multiple hospital systems in North Carolina. Under close supervision, you will contribute to developing and implementing care plans, collect patient histories, and ensure sterile techniques per policy.

You will communicate care instructions to patients and families and participate in emergency and safety procedures. Required: LPN license in North Carolina and BLS CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in North Carolina.
• BLS CPR certification (American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider).
• Must complete ADN within 4 years of hire (if not already held).

Responsibilities

• Supports the care team by collecting patient history and medical information for complete documentation in medical records.
• Assists in developing and implementing care plans under supervision to serve hospital patients.
• Ensures proper techniques and safety precautions per Cone Health policies around sterile environments.
• Communicates health care instructions to patients and families to support the care plan.
• Assists in responding to emergencies and safety hazards using PPE and hospital precautions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
