Job summary

Cherokee Indian Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to serve as a clinical assistant to the NP, RN and MD within the Tsali Care Center. The role operates under NC LPN scope of practice and CMS guidelines in a hospital setting.

You will perform venipuncture, administer vaccines and medications, obtain histories, document care, and maintain supplies and records while supporting residents and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of an accredited LPN program.
• Active North Carolina LPN license or compact-state license with NC licensure within 30 days.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Six months in the position to gain proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a clinical assistant to the NP, RN, or MD and screens residents' charts.
• Takes vital signs and reports abnormal results to the care team.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens for labs.
• Administers vaccines and medications as ordered by NP or MD.
• Maintains inventory, documents care, and supports referrals as needed.
