Job summary

Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority is seeking a Regular Full Time LPN TCC in Cherokee, NC to provide nursing support under NP/RN supervision, following center guidelines and NC LPN scope of practice.

Responsibilities include clerical duties, patient histories, vital signs, medication administration, immunizations, specimen labeling, charting, and collaboration with physicians and nurses to ensure quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited LPN program and NC license or compact-state licensure with NC license within 30 days of hire.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Six months of experience in the position is preferred to gain proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a clinical assistant to NP or RN and screens residents' charts.
• Obtains medical histories from residents or families.
• Records vital signs and reports abnormal results to NP or RN.
• Administers medications and immunizations as ordered.
• Maintains vaccine and medication inventory and QA/QI records.
