Job summary

Saline Memorial Hospital in Arkansas is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a clinic float role. The PRN/Days schedule runs 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with the LPN providing compassionate care alongside RNs and physicians, assessing needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient safety.

The successful candidate will hold a Practical Nursing program credential, active LPN licensure in the state, and BLS certification. Clinic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.
• Current LPN license to practice in the state.
• BLS certification required.
• Previous clinic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including wound care; may administer medication.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Assists RN with development of plan of care.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
