Job summary

Saline Memorial Hospital in Arkansas is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a clinic float role. The PRN/Days schedule runs 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with the LPN providing compassionate care alongside RNs and physicians, assessing needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient safety.

The successful candidate will hold a Practical Nursing program credential, active LPN licensure in the state, and BLS certification. Clinic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.
• Current LPN license to practice in the state.
• BLS certification required.
• Previous clinic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including wound care; may administer medication.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Assists RN with development of plan of care.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) will provide compassionate care to patients alongside registered nurses (RNs) and physicians. They assess patient needs, administer treatments, and ensure patient comfort and safety. Working as a vital member of the team, LPNs provide direct patient care in accordance with their scope and standards of practice.
