Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Silverdale, WA is seeking a Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to keep the clinic running smoothly. You will prepare patient charts, record vital signs, and help prioritize tasks alongside the clinical team to ensure efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.

• One to two years LPN work experience

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for practitioner visits, rooms patients, records vital signs, allergies, medications, and presenting problems.
• Performs or assists with patient care, tests, and clinical procedures per licensure and protocols; triages as needed.
• Assists with point-of-care testing (CLIA-Waived) following protocols.
• Administers medications per provider orders; logs usage and inventories controlled substances.
• Documents procedures and interactions in the patient record; manages orders as needed.
• Maintains exam rooms and prepares, cleans, sterilizes instruments and supplies.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you'll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team. You'll take the lead on proactive preparation of patient charts; ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility.

Every day, you'll manage care for multiple patients, adapting to physician availability on-site, and actively collaborate with your clinical team to prioritize tasks and ensure seamless patient flow throughout the clinic.

• Prepares patients for practitioner visit; rooms patients, obtains and records vital signs and other appropriate information, such as height, weight, drug allergies, current medications and presenting problem; chaperones and documents the patient exam, ensuring patient privacy and comfort.

• Performs, or assists with, patient care, diagnostic tests and clinical procedures to appropriate level of training/scope of licensure and established procedures; follows triage standing orders/protocols for routine nursing situations and refers complex, urgent or emergent situations to an RN or provider.

• Assists with point of care testing (CLIA-Waived Tests only)/lab tests following established protocols/instructions.

• Administers patient medications per written provider order; tracks and logs medication usage per established policies; inventories counts of controlled substances.

• Documents procedures and interactions in patient's medical record in accordance with established procedures; enters, pends and signs orders as appropriate.

• Organizes exam rooms, including general cleaning, upkeep and re-stocking of supplies; prepares, cleans and sterilize instruments and maintains related equipment.

$28.55 - $48.43 /hour
