Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support multi-patient care in a fast-paced clinic setting in Washington. You will lead patient chart preparation, document histories, and help coordinate patient flow under physician supervision.

Responsibilities include direct LPN care, triage, specimen collection, wound care, vaccines, IV therapies, and medication administration.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program approved by the WA State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum 1 year LPN clinic experience.
• WA LPN license required upon hire.
• CPR/BLS certification per agency protocol.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits: obtain vitals, update medical histories, document records, coordinate flow.
• Provide direct LPN care including triage, specimen collection, wound care, and assisting procedures.
• Administer medications, vaccines, IV therapies, and monitor responses per protocol.
• Perform point-of-care testing and EKGs with accurate result documentation.
• Maintain complete EMR documentation, process refills, and communicate lab results to providers.
• Maintain exam rooms and supplies, ensuring infection prevention and safety standards.

*Job Summary and Responsibilities*

As our Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you’ll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team. You’ll take the lead on proactive preparation of patient charts; ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility.
Every day, you'll manage care for multiple patients, adapting to physician availability on-site, and actively collaborate with your clinical team to prioritize tasks and ensure seamless patient flow throughout the clinic.

• Prepare patients for visits by obtaining vital signs, documenting medical histories, updating patient records, coordinating patient flow, and ensuring patient comfort, privacy, and education.
• Provide direct patient care within LPN scope of practice, including triage, diagnostic testing, specimen collection, venipuncture, wound care, catheter care, splint application, and assisting with clinical procedures.
• Administer medications, vaccines, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments while monitoring medication inventory, controlled substances, and patient responses in accordance with established protocols.
• Perform point-of-care testing, EKGs, spirometry, and other clinical assessments, accurately documenting results and maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Maintain complete and accurate electronic medical records, process prescription refills, respond to patient calls, communicate lab results, and carry out provider orders using approved protocols.
• Maintain exam rooms, instruments, equipment, and clinical supplies by cleaning, sterilizing, stocking, and preparing procedure areas while supporting providers and ensuring compliance with infection prevention and safety standards.

• One year of LPN work experience in a clinic setting or
• Licensed Practical Nurse: WA, upon hire and
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR

Pay Range

$28.55 - $48.43 /hour
