Job summary

Vitality Living Hudson Community in Hudson, FL is seeking a dedicated LPN Charge Nurse to deliver focused nursing care for residents and coordinate medications and treatments on site.

The role involves collaboration with physicians, adherence to service plans, and maintaining accurate resident charts. Ideal candidates are licensed LPN/LVN with CPR certification and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold an LPN/LVN license and CPR certification.
• 21+ years old and able to communicate in English.
• Meet state healthcare requirements.
• Maintain required licenses and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Administer or assist residents to self-administer medications and treatments
• Collect, store, and transport specimens for laboratory studies
• Communicate with physicians via telephone, fax, and Physician Communication forms
• Ensure physician orders, lab reports, and other data are scanned and filed in resident charts
• Assist in the development and revision of service plans; inform Wellness Director of resident needs
• Perform other duties as directed by Wellness Director

LPN Charge Nurse Requirements

• Administrate or assist residents to self-administer medications and treatments
• Collect, store, and ensure transport of certain specimens for laboratory studies
• Communicate with physicians via telephone, fax, and Physician Communication forms
• Ensure physician orders, laboratory reports, and other data is scanned and filed in resident charts
• Assist in the development and revision of service plans. Inform Wellness Director of current resident needs and preferences as well as successful service approaches
• Perform other duties as directed by Wellness Director

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Meet state or provincial health related requirements
• Maintain current professional license and CPR certification if currently LPN/LVN
• Maintain any other certifications as required by state or provincial regulations
