Job summary

The State of Washington’s Washington Soldiers Home in Orting seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse 2 for a full-time, non-permanent Swing shift (Thu–Mon, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM). You will provide resident-centered care to veterans, administer medications, monitor conditions, and assist with activities of daily living, ensuring safety and dignity.

Requirements include a current Washington LPN license, one year of nursing experience, strong English skills, and the ability to follow directions and maintain

Qualifications

Current Washington state practical nurse license or unencumbered practical nurse multistate license.
One year of nursing experience.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Data entry; maintain confidentiality; follow written and verbal directions.
Agency Required Competencies: learn and grow; meet the needs of others.

Responsibilities

Prepare, carry out, evaluate, and revise treatment plans.
Pass medications and monitor/record treatments; assess resident condition.
Suction, oxygen administration, catheterization, IV care as needed; support feeding devices.
Process physician orders.
Assist with routine rehabilitative and maintenance.
More duties as assigned by nursing leadership.
