Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to care for pediatric patients in their own home in Kingsley, Iowa. The position is part-time with overnight shifts. You will provide skilled nursing services under prescribed orders and use the nursing process to assess and monitor patients.

Applicants must hold a current LPN/LVN license in Iowa, have TB test/Chest X-ray, and a current BLS card. One year of nursing experience is preferred; Maxim offers competitive pay, weekly pay,

• TB test or Chest X-Ray documentation required.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care according to prescribed orders.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes.
• Document actual and potential nursing diagnoses from assessments.

Education

LPN/LVN license in Iowa

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.


• On each assignment, provides skilled nursing care/services in accordance with prescribed orders


• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.


• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.

Qualifications:

• Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN in the state in which the LPN will practice.


• Current TB or Chest X-Ray.


• Current BLS card.


• One year prior professional nursing experience preferred
